What is Lily of the Valley?

The term “lily” can be applied to a wide number of flowering plants in the Lilium genus. These flowers come in all shapes and sizes (and scents!), but all share common properties in that they are grown from perennial bulbs and boast large, prominent flowers. These flowers hold a timeless part in human history, spanning cultures, art, and gardens around the world.

Perhaps one of the most recognizable lilies, Lily of the Valley can be found sporting its delicate white bell-shaped flowers every spring in the cooler, temperate woodlands of Asia and Europe. Its elegant blooms, which appear in the spring and fall to reveal red berries in the summer, have inspired poetry, legends, and even festivals across cultures and time.

Lily of the Valley Fragrance Oil

The scent of these flowers seems to dance in the spring breezes, filling gardens and homes with their soft, airy aroma. We’ve captured this delicate scent, which has elegant notes of hyacinth and jasmine, in our Lily of the Valley fragrance oil. This fragrance oil works wonderfully with other florals to create stunning aromatic bouquets in your next DIY project, and is also simply delightful on its own.
